Best friend and Odd behavior

My best friend for over 15 years has been Beth. We are very close and do a lot of things together. Last weekend Beth and I went out to dinner at an expensive restaurant to celebrate the Upcoming Christmas Holiday. We both had plans to visit family in nearby towns so it was a good opportunity to hang out together. After dinner we had a drink in the bar and the conversation got very strange. She told me she was tired of being a divorced woman and wanted to get out of the dating scene. I got the unmistakable feeling she was trying to see what kind of reaction she would get to the possibility of a relationship with me. I am not married, never had a real long term relationship with a man. Never been in a relationship with a woman. I am honestly very intrigued by the idea of a relationship with my wonderful friend. She has never before expressed any interest in women.
Am I reading to much into this one night???
