Troubled by the past

Four years ago today my BFF ( Makayla) sent me a text that she was going to go away and wanted me to know she loved me. When I got the text I was at work and I didn’t respond until I got home I couldn’t get her to answer her phone or her texts so I drove over to her place. I found her on the floor in her bedroom. She was not breathing and she was not responsive. I called 911 and they came right away but it was to late she was gone. She had taken her own life. If only I had called her back when I got the text. I am so sad and feel like I failed her.

Sad story for sure. Unfortunately, suicide is an all too common cause of death of young people.
Don't beat yourself up over this. Most of us never see it coming. Honor her legacy, do good things. Best
