The Message

Today, a country away from me they are laying a friend to rest. I knew her, not as well as others in my group, but she was a decent, hard-working woman. Illness turned her life upside down and she kept to herself in most of her struggles.

Medical expense ruined her, since everything costs so much more for working people since obamacare came along. Then, when broke and broken, she tried to apply for government help. Her life turned into an endless series of appointments, meetings and court dates. Most of them turned out to have some small detail left un-handled, and final resolution was put off until a follow up appointment/ court date/ exam/ interview could be scheduled months away. Every day counted as she sank deeper into ruin. Yet everywhere around her, many other "classes" of people were quickly and openly being helped by the same system and government. Her own family turned her out when her room mate robbed her and left...getting her evicted with no place to live. Her phone and accounts were turned off, and she had no way to reach out to the few folks she knew that might actually be able to take her in.

So she ended it. She killed herself to end the suffering. Now a woman who worked hard, took care of others when she could and paid into taxes her whole life is dead...for what? NOTHING. Every day illegals flood across the border and immediately get put on aid. Every day felon level criminals go to prisons and get medical care, housing and a free education to reduce their sentences and improve themselves. Every day rich college students in new cars cry and complain about the college debt they agreed to take on and everyone feels sorry for them....but if you are white in America and need a helping hand...forget it.

But she's not the first or only one I have seen this happen to. Nobody understands The Message more than those who work hard and get screwed under. But suicide is never the answer when homicide is available. The suffering should be on the heads of those who cause it.
